 
  Non-Immigrant Visas
                
            
            Business or Pleasure: B-1 or B-2 VisasNon-US citizens coming to the US for business, who will not be employed by a US company, will usually be required to apply for a B-1 Visa.   
 Non-US citizens coming to the US for pleasure are required to apply for a B-2 Visa.
 B-1: Temporary Visitor for Business - To obtain one of these Visas, several items must be disclosed with your application:
 The purpose ofusiness or Pleasure: B-1 or B-2 Visas

 Non-US citizens coming to the US for pleasure are required to apply for a B-2 Visa.
 B-1: Temporary Visitor for Business - To obtain one of these Visas, several items must be disclosed with your application:
 
- The purpose of your visit and evidence of the purpose;
 - A plan of activ your visit and evidence of the purpose;
 - A plan of activities and schedule;
 - Proof that you can support yourself while in the US, and will not have to work while here;
 - Proof that you have a residence in your home country that will not be abandoned;
 - Proof of other ties to your home country to demonstrate that you are not planning to get to the US to remain here, either legally or illegally.
  
The B-1 Visa is normally granted for 90 days, but can be extended by evidence demonstrating the need for additional time in the US.
 B-2: Temporary Visitor for Pleasure - To obtain one of these Visas, several items must be disclosed with your application:
 
- The purpose of your visit and evidence of the purpose;
 - Evidence that you are coming for medical treatment (if applicable);
 - Plan of activities and schedule;
 - Proof that you are attending a funeral, wedding, baptism or other event (if applicable);
 - Proof that you have a residence in your home country that will not be abandoned;
 - Proof of other ties to your home country to demonstrate that you are not planning to get to the US to remain here, either legally or illegally.
  
Although not required, a round-trip ticket will help immensely toward success in obtaining a B-2 Visa.
 The B-2 Visa is normally granted for 180 days, but can be extended by evidence demonstrating the need for additional time in the US.  Unlike B-1 Visas, the B-2 Visa is usually granted only
